We’re going to end 2011 on a bright note, and spend our last post of the year on the front porch with Mildred King Jordan’s piece “Attachment!” from “I Am Here,” the Fall 2011 issue of JOT.

Mildred King Jordan

As I read each edition of the Journal of Ordinary Thought
It pleases me
To be part of such an extraordinary family.

As I read about
Loves, joys, and sorrows,
I see we all hope for a better tomorrow.

Taking one day at a time
As we share what’s on our minds,
Not knowing what we have to say
May help someone find their way.

To all of you that have taken a part
To write what’s in your heart—
Be still! So I won’t miss
As I throw you all
A great big kiss!

Mildred says it all so well. Thank you everyone in the Neighborhood Writing Alliance, including you, our readers, for a wonderful year!

We’re very excited for the coming year with NWA and we’ll be back on the blog sharing more with you on January 3, 2012. In the meantime, have a safe and happy new year!

I love this piece by Mildred especially “loves, joys and sorrows”- sharing those are what makes NWA so important to each of us. Happy New Year to all!
